Background
Human Improvement is a proprietary protein blend supercharged with cricket protein — a sustainable, powerhouse ingredient packed with B12, iron, fiber and gut friendly prebiotics. We developed the brand’s website on Shopify with subscription management in Recharge. We also designed, built, and launched experiential marketing activations on their website, like the Recipe Hall of Fame and the Museum of Smoothies.
Clear Product Value
We built a custom Shopify theme with the primary goals of selling products and sharing clear information about their unique protein powder blend. Their hero ingredient, cricket powder, provides a sustainable base, but can be a barrier to purchase for new customers. We built components and pages on the website to provide ingredient and benefit information to new customers in a lighthearted way. This included iconography on product pages, and a page with information about each individual ingredient.
Recipe Hall of Fame
We built the Recipe Hall of Fame on their website, a database of recipes using the protein powder, curated by artists, chefs, influencers, and more. Each recipe has a generated image of the smoothie and links to the hi! product used. We ensured it was easy for the hi! team to add new recipes whenever they wanted.
Museum of Smoothies
We also created The Museum of Smoothies, an interactive showcase of the history of the smoothie. This provided a fun entryway for users on the site and served as lead generation for the brand. Travel back in time to key moments in the history of the smoothie and watch a brief animated video with a voiceover to learn more.
After exploring the museum, users exited through the gift shop, complete with Museum-exclusive merch and the ability to buy the brand products with an intro discount.
